An Action Congress (AC) councillorship aspirant in Lagos Mainland Local Government, Dele Agbaje, has called on the electorate and party stalwarts in the area, to support his candidature, not only for success in the coming party primaries, but also an outstanding victory in the 11 October local government elections.

An Action Congress (AC) councillorship aspirant in Lagos Mainland Local Government, Dele Agbaje, has called on the electorate and party stalwarts in the area, to support his candidature, not only for success in the coming party primaries, but also an outstanding victory in the 11 October local government elections.

The politician representing Ward G, said his success in the primaries and subsequent election will enable him to build further on the good works he had started for the benefit of his people.

"I wish to stress here without being immodest, that among the councillorship aspirants in Mainland Local Government, I am the most qualified, judged by my wealth of experience garnered over the years, which places me on competent pedestal, not only to efficiently serve my people, but also ensure that dominance of the AC in the entire council area.

"I was born and bred in this local goverment and I have never for any reason, moved an inch away from this area where I have served both as a community activist and politician for over 30 years and have always aligned with the progressive tendencies.

"My antecedents make me an asset not only to the local government, but also the Action Congress, whose success I had worked assiduously for in the past and even to date, just as I had done in the past for the UPN and SDP of which I had, at various times, been a member," he stated.

He also called on party stalwarts to support Kemi Banjo, the outgoing executive secretary of the local government, who, according to him, has proved to be an outstanding administrator and proven high achiever.

He stated further that over the years, the Apapa North Constituency to which he belongs, has not been privileged to attain the post of chairmanship.
