Man cleared in circumcision case

The Nigerian man charged in relation to the death of a baby during a home circumcision in Waterford two years ago has been found not guilty.

Thirty one year-old Osagie Igbinedion was charged with reckless endangerment after the death of 30-day-old baby Kallis Osagie.

It took the jury of ten men and two women just over an hour and a half to reach the verdict in the case, the first of its kind in Ireland.
