Adedibuís death: Akala a goner Ė ANPP


Chairman, Oyo state chapter of the All Nigeria Peopleís Party (ANPP), Alhaji Razaq Folorunso, has said that the death of Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu signified a new dawn in the politics of Oyo State, saying the incumbent governor, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, was bound to loose at the Appeal Court.

Chairman, Oyo state chapter of the All Nigeria Peopleís Party (ANPP), Alhaji Razaq Folorunso, has said that the death of Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu signified a new dawn in the politics of Oyo State, saying the incumbent governor, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, was bound to loose at the Appeal Court.

Folorunso, who spoke at Oyo town during the launch of Poverty Alleviation Programme (PAP) of a member of theOyo state House of Assembly, Hon. Mufutau Tella representing Atiba Constituency of the state, was speaking on the heel of the appeal filed by the ANPP governorship candidate in the state, Senator Isiaka Ajimobi.

According to the ANPP chieftain, the only force behind Akala, which also served as the stumbling block to justice for his party was Adedibu, pointing out that Adedibuís demise would usher in new lease of life in the state.

The launch, which saw over 100 party members benefiting from the lawmakersí largesse, also saw leaders of the party commending the gesture of Hon. Tella in responding to the needs of his constituency.

Distributed at the event were generating sets, motorcycles, mobile phone handsets, machetes to farmers as well as cash gift to youth and women leaders in the 10 wards that made up Atiba constituency.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Kemi Alao-Akala, has said they would miss the prayers which the late strongman of Ibadan politics, used to shower on them.

She made the revelation while speaking with newsmen over the weekend at Molete where she has been reporting to with wife of the deputy governor, Mrs. Abiodun Arapaja, since last Wednesday to console wife of High Chief Adedibu, Alhaja Bosede Adedibu and other family members.

The first lady stated that anytime they visited Molete the late political warhorse called on them at the Government House, he used to give them a solid counsel and a wall-breaking prayers.
"We will miss his wealth of experience because you donít buy experience on the shelf. Baba was full of experience and again, he was a man who was largely misunderstood by the people.
